I'm not a real Cowboy, but I play one in the movies.
The Mittenstate ACTS chapter fielded 22 snowcats for their monthly match. I notice they only erected three stages (they usually do four); I imagine the snow/ice may have rendered the other bay unsafe for movement.

If it's cold enough that the snow is dry, and if you dress in clothing thick enough that snow on the outside of the clothes doesn't melt, it's doable. The stuff I would avoid is the sloppy wet ends of the winter season. There's a recipe for a bad cold...
I don't know yet if I will be there Saturday. I'm up to my ears in the proverbial alligators. Daisycat may go herself if I don't.
