They are about to be THE vacation destination for all the world. They are wisely diversifying since oil has been all they had to offer, and apparently with swank hotels and a glorious climate, it's a paradise. I've also heard that wealthy folk from Kuwait cleared out of the homeland in the past 15 years because of the turmoil and set up housekeeping in Bahrain, and that the Emirate is expecting much the same of the elite of Iraq and quite likely Iran in the near future. Frankly, I hope the secular elite of Iran stay home to make a change for their homeland - for that is what it will take to turn the tide.
The irony of the liberal left in this country making a stink over the ports deal is they embody what I've always said about the fallacy of political correctness: it's all just a way of pecking around the real issue while putting on a proper face that says you aren't a racist. In the end, your actions tell the whole story with more truth than your cloying mouth ever could do.
