Damn it....

Lenny & Squiggy are together again, this time curled up in a sunbeam on Piddler's Green (or wherever it is that beloved pets go when their earthly forms give out).

Lenny had been depressed since Squiggy's passing in March, even refusing to sleep in the big fleece bed he once shared with his buddy. Lisa the Biker Chick found him lifeless this morning with no sign of distress. She's still got a dog and few cats to love, but she's joining me in swearing off pets that live so brightly, but leave only memories long before a decade has run out. Lenny and Squiggy would have been six years old this year; my first ferret Gracie was a grand old lady of seven before she passed.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Blob. I'm more of a dog person myself, but understand completely how attached one can become to a pet. They have this crazy way of making us better people, and when they're gone, it is a sincere loss.

    Again, sympathies.

Damn. Been around several of the weasels, and they are endearing critters.
