I've been enjoying the low prices at the pump too, but offer this caution: These prices are a reflection of just how deeply the economy is cratering.
I'm guessing that we'll enter a period where we have simultaneous inflation and deflation. The things you don't really need in life--a new iPod, a ticket to the movies, a Hawaiian vacation--will get very inexpensive. The basic items in our lives--food, water, power--will inflate beyond where most can believe.
Ammo, of course, will fall into the second category.

Something to keep in mind is that a lot of the overpriced oil was the result of rampant speculation by hedge firms and wall street banks. $4 a gallon gasoline was *not* due to fundamentals. And when that bubble burst the price had nowhere to go but down. While oil was going for $140/barrel, some analysts (and the Saudis themselves) said the fundamentals would only have supported a price of $80/barrel.
Now we've overshot that on the way down and part of it is certainly the retreating economy, but the lion's share was due to the same people who are now screwing us by soaking up bazillions of tax dollars on their bailout.
