Is that anything like a Rocky Mountain Barking Spider?

It's native to Queensland, nasty little bugger, have been known to eat guinea fowl, and one was seen once dragging a 3 pounds fish off a bank back to it's den. They're pretty agressive and make a sound like a thumb nail rubbing across a comb that you can hear over a meter away.

Well, the sound *could* be described that way. I betcha it's the same critter, or a close relative!
