That's a bit disturbing. I had a 1911 .45 (not an A-1, but an original WW I survivor that had had the serial number ground off) discharge in my jeans pocket, when I was 14 or so (the grip safety spring was weak) but the round only slit my jeans for some 4 inches, right down my right pants leg.
I had to tell my dad I cut the jeans on a barbed-wire fence. No one else knew how close a call that was...
